The Tunnel Overview
CO-HOME OF THE 2000 WORLDS

The Kensington Metropark Disc Golf Course, in Milford, Michigan, has been named 'The Tunnel' due to the tunnel under the main park road leading to holes 5 through 11.

This course has been very well kept up and is being continually improved. Concrete tee pads have been added in 1998 and even the seeding has been done around the pads. Mowing is being selectively done to define the fairways. Trash containers exist on every tee and several picnic tables are on the course to help when groups backup.

This is a course that can have every hole aced and yet is very challanging to the average player. In two months of our Sunday league we've only had one ace. Even though you can not throw 300 feet you can still par the course through playing smart.

The newest event is a club recently founded that has adopted Kensington as their home course evidenced by their name - Club Kensington. Recreational Sundays have turned out over 30 persons/day that have cleaned up the course while playing and learning. Go to Club Kensington for more information.

A description of the course and a sample score card listing the distances is here.

Be sure to go here because the pictures have turned out real good for early fall. They were all taken the last week of September or the first week of October. I'll put more when all the leaves are gone and for the winter so that the true spirit of our club will shine through.
